Agreed SoccerClip... and they also own Geauge Lake. Imagine an "All-Ohio" pass? Now that would be cool!
However, you guys have some cool coasters at Kings Island too! I haven't even rode them all yet, but I think Vortex and Flight of Fear rock! I'd have to say Flight of Fear is my favorite coaster ride there.

Maverick is a step away from Cedar Point's current norm of building huge, record-breaking, jaw-dropping rides. Still, it looks to be a good one. It's not very tall (only 105 ft), its layout is very low to the ground and it will feature some nice western theming. It's everything that Cedar Point has lacked as of late with their monster-coaster building. It's a family friendly ride (you still have to be over 48" to ride) that features many twists and turns and even a few inversions. The theming looks incredible too, with some faux canyons and a man made river. Also, it will bring attention and people to the generally overlooked Frontiertown section of Cedar Point, and probably draw crowds to oft missed rides such as Mean Streak and Antique Cars.
To me, the most interesting aspect of this ride is the two LSM launches. The first one will take you up the first "lift" hill at around 15 mph. Once again, Cedar Point departs from the traditional chain lift and goes with something never before seen (just like what they did with Millennium Force and its cable lift). The second launch will be in the middle of the ride and will shoot you through a 400 ft. dark tunnel at approximately 70 mph.
While it's not the biggest or fastest or even the most thrilling, I think it will provide equally as much fun and excitement as its big brothers Millennium Force, Magnum, Raptor, etc.
However, we all must wait until May of 2007 to actually experience it for ourselves. Until then, happy trails!

but i first learned it would be released today by rcdb.com i am so going to cedar point next year!
Roller Coaster: Maverick
Amusement Park: Cedar Point (Sandusky, Ohio 44870 USA)
Type: Steel - Sit Down
Status: Under Construction opening 5/2007
Builder: Intamin AG
Designer: Ingenieur Büro Stengel GmbH
Cost: $21,000,000 USD
Capacity: 1200 riders per hour
Length: 4450'
Height: 105'
Drop: 100'
Inversions: 3
Speed: 70 mph
Duration: 2:30
Max Vertical Angle: 95 Degrees
Trains: 6 trains with 3 cars per train. Riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows for a total of 12 riders per train.
Trains: Riders must be 48" or taller to ride.
those stats are awesome sounding and some one finally took my idea of going past 90 degrees but to do 95 degrees!
since my favorite and third favorite coasters are there it will just add to the coolness of the park(iron dragon&millennium force my second and third favorite coasters)!
Now all they need is the millennium dragster:the legend of the maverick, which would be 19,999feet long,575 feet tall,132mph,180 degree angle,20 seconds of airtime (all at once),and 1 inversion.
anyways cedar point is the best!
17 roller coasters,69 rides,and is 137 years old!
look how bad this is every ones main resource doesn't mention the maverick http://www.ultimaterollercoaster.com/
And Yes,i believe maverick will be an awesome ride!

i am going strictly for the curler coasters. Hmm...widespread might in all probability be a toss up between Millenium and Magnum. The foodstuff is as could be predicted at leisure parks. i do no longer waste time or money on the video games (with as long because of the fact the traces could be, surely do no longer prefer to waste time on different stuff). was once i might visit the exhibits there like the IMAX theatre or the dolphins coach...yet no, now that's merely the coasters. No water rides the two. have not stayed there, stay an hour away.

Looks cool. Now that they own Kings Island I hope they make one season pass that gets you in to both parks and they start building some good coasters down here as well.

I think it will be a cool ride. It's not your typical Cedar Point ride though & I mean by jaw dropping & high drops, but it looks to be cool & might even get a scream or two out of me...who knows.
