Nahh... I live in Detroit and the only thing I had planned was multiple trips to Cedar Point. I had somebody else in the group drive each time :-). As for just driving in general, I really had to cut down. I drive a Ford F-150 which gets maybe 14 mpg and it cost me up to 85 dollars to fill up, and I'm only in college, so it SUCKED!

We always take our vacations in May or September while schools are in so we don't have to deal with all the children and long lines. We're going this month on a 12-hr drive so the lower gas prices are welcome. Last year they were much higher in September.

you should live in Australia. The price rises from Monday from a $1.27 aus a litre to a $1.40 every Thusrday when we get paid and for the weekend then down again soon as the weekend is over. The ful companies just rip people off all the time

Yes we did stay home this summer primarily due to gas prices.
In Tampa Florida they are down to 2.65 this week. Hurray..
But we will be going to the Carolinas in October when the weather gets a little cooler..

Yes, we planned on a nice family vacation, but the budget wouldn't cover the gas when summer arrived.

Gas prices low? It's an illusion. When gas was 1.29 a gallon in the U.S, wouldn't 2.79 seem real high? It still is.
Yeah, compared to 3.25 it seems low....but it's still rediculous.
And yes, it kept us from driving to family out of state. We live in Florida....it takes long enought to drive out of Florida as it is.
It also keeps us from taking casual drives just to get out for the day.....conserve, conserve, conserve.

They raised the gas prices so they could reap the profits of people driving to their vacations. It kept us closer to home.

I don't think that $0.50 per gallon would prevent me from going on a vacation. It only adds up to about $8.00 per tank of gas. If I were on that tight of a budget, I wouldn't go anywhere anyway.

You can't believe it? Elections are two months away lady. Wake up. The oil companies would HATE a Democratic Congress. They like to have people in charge that think of THEIR company's interests before the American Peoples interest.
