depends on the person. for some i would call it "silly" and tell them to wait it out until they graduate, living alone is a big job. for others i would call it "necessary" and wish them luck. some people just aren't meant to be under their parents roof. some parents are abusive.

Its called a lot of things, but the one important piece of advice; I can give you is think before you act upon what your feeling and why you want to do this. Its tough out here in the real world. Sometimes we regret what we do after the harm is done. If your in high-school and your parents are fighting all the time then I can understand why your doing this. But if everything is going well and you live in a peaceful environment, then maybe you need to try and spread your wings later on when you've had time to think things through. Good Luck!!!!

It's called being an emancipated minor. Most HS kids want to do this at some point, but realistically, you'd never make it. Kids have no idea what life is like outside mom and dad's house.

You have to get yourself declared an Emancipated Minor by a judge. It won't be done just because you're arguing with your parents, or you don't want to follow their rules. You have to be in real physical and emotional danger from them. Have there been police reports filed? You don't have a hope in heck of getting this if there is no corroborating evidence.
