Yes, I discovered I was a math whiz in college. In high school my mother told me, "Girls are good at English, boys are good at math." So I never took any advanced level math classes, and I was scared to.
In college I needed math classes for my degree, and was still scared. I had heard horror stories about how hard they were. I discovered it all made sense to me and was fascinating.
I ended up honoring on the two math portions of my master's competency exams.

Yes when I was 18 I discovered I can stand a nickel on its edge and it will stay standing.

When I became pregnant with my son I taught myself to crochet. That was 25 years ago. I am 57 years old and enjoy making hats, booties and blankets for preemies and donating them to the hospital.

Yes ! The ability and Patience to deal with others with out stooping to their level if they are cruel or hateful !
I am being serious . when I was younger I didn't know any better and there fore if attracted I fought word for word .

I learned how to play ice hockey as a goaltender when I was 29 and I am damn good at it.

i knew that i liked singing but never joined any contests or even choir...when i finally reached freshmen year in H.S i auditioned for Choir and i finally got in!...you usually find out in your teen years and i dont regret anything!!!
