Match Game? Does anyone really care? What difference would it make if the guy was gay....you know the show, know the host's name...apparently it made a lasting impression, if you find out that the host was gay...are you going to not be a fan of the show, which is probably now cancelled?

I say this with all the respect I can muster:
GET A LIFE!
The man is in his eighties and is still married to the same woman and has grown daughters. The seventies were a different time, and if you had access to seeing lots of things filmed in that era, everyone would look gay to you.

He was married for (approx.) 56 years when his wife passed away and I cannot find where he remarried after her death. I'm pretty sure he was straight and it wasn't just a front.

i dont think he was gay because not only did he talk about his wife all the time he was constantly flirting with the female guests and the female stars............but then again who knows.... it could have just been a clever cover for the "down low"
