Racism is still a very effective tool for propaganda. It is used as a divisive force even among people who might otherwise live in perfect harmony. I do not believe that a lot of actual racial violence does exists in itself. It is often used to mask true motives that have to do with power. Sometimes though it can be a reflex action if someone was assaulted by a group of another race.
Bottom line- All violence stems from fear. When people lash out in the name of racism they are demonstrating their fear. Humans react to what scares them with violence. People are afraid of the unfamiliar. Actually all animals are. If you walk into a village or town that is not familiar with your race even the calmest dogs will bark at you in fear. They were not taught this behavior, but are reacting on instinct. If we could all learn to respond rather than react, we are on our way to a more peaceful future. Violence doesn't need to be divided into separate categories in my opinion. This creates more confusions that block solutions. We need to reject all violence as any reason that is deemed acceptable will always be used as the motive for the crime, in my humble opinion.

Because lack of intelligence still exist. For the same reason humans still die of cancer and other illnesses because humans don't know yet the problem or how to cure them, so racial violence still exist because man lack of understanding of the problem and providing solution.

As long as parents do not teach diversity their will be racism. Once it is instilled in you as a child it would take a major brainwash for someone to not have tolerance of other races.
As long as their is an intolorance there will be violence.

People have "free will" and with this, they have the right to establish their opinions. Within these "opinions" you'll find structured, basic sociology---the study of society. It is the "SOCIETY" that folks grow up in which forms our issues. An example--if Arabic women choose to cover their heads, why isolate these ladys into a category--which most of us who are honest and will admit to--as being submissive?--If we were a more tempered society, all women might choose to join their sisters of any race --- which by the way -- not just Arabic descent cover their heads, look at the mennoites --- select to wear scarfs, and stop categorizing folks by our lives.... enough soap box now .... disclaimer: with apologies if I offended any sect by using this example---this is not a punal situation, but only to point out that we all put on our socks the same way .... ha ha....my best to all.

Much of it in the U.S. can be attributed to ignorace. In the Middle East racial violence exists because people truly believe what they say they believe. It's hard to understand because not many of us Americans have true convictions about anything.

Because of the actions of what people or what races do in the eyes of the world. If you have a group of people who are stealing, robbing, killing, doing drugs, using their race as a leverage tool to get what they want, and have a general attitude of disrespect for everything they they have or receive then they have no respect for themselves . If you don't want to better your self or the image of your race or you heritage then you don't care about your self or any one.And if you don't care why should the rest of us care that they want to live and be like that.I try to have an open mind about this but it infuriates me that we should have to feel sorry for other races that just continue the cycle of laziness and stupidity.

Violence will always exist, but it's rarely caused by racial
prejudice.Usually it stems from jealousy,greed,covetness,
pride,or self-preservation.Actually,racial violence is almost
non-existant anymore by comparison.

People fear what they do not understand. Many people of different races do not understand the culture, beliefs and traditions of other people. Because of this the fear turns to lashing out in fear. This obiviously equals racial violence and causes only more problems.

- Because Human society is not mature enough to accept all race as equal
- because race based inferiority and superiority complexes thrive in our society
- because we like to feel good abt ourselves, by putting down our fellowmen
