"Hard Times" aka. "Streetfighter" (1975) has some of the best fight sequences ever

I first saw "Hard Times" when it was "Streetfighter".

Ever since then I would have to say that it still is my favourite Movie, mainly because of the character that Charles Bronson portrays.
The Movie basically begins with Bronson (Chaney) stepping of a freight train. If you study his face before he steps of the train you can basically see the hard if not troubled life he has lived up to that moment. One wonders how many of these situations that is about to confront him, has he already been through.

Throughout the film Bronson portrays a loner who knows what he has to do and he does it with style.

Strother Martin is perfectly casted as Poe, Chaneys mender, although most of the time Poe is never required.

The fight scenes are brilliant and can be watched time and time again, mainly due to Chaneys style, confidence and skill. The last two fights really show his skill, not only as a hitter but as a blocker and tactical fighter.

The final match-up draws out to be a fight of complete tactics with many moments of respect shown between the two fighters.

If you ever get the chance to see this film, go for it, it is a movie classic.

Best fight scene is actually a soppy Tom Cruise film.

Bare knuckle boxing (Ireland Vs Italy) in Far & Away.

Most realistic film fight scene: Good Will Hunting where Matt and Ben kick the butts of the old Kindergarten bullies.

Most Iconic Marital Artsfight scene: How can it not be the Crane kick in Karate Kid.... the tension... the drama.... the most poorly defended stance ever.... Jonny's reaction to getting kicked in the face. THE STUFF OF LEGENDS.

the scene in jackie chan's police story where he is in a shopping centre and he is chased by a gang wielding knives and other weapons. the fights in that are unbelievable and the bit where he ends up falling below 100 ft or something and he ends up breaking nearly every bone in his body, thus smashing into the glass is awesome.
