well u know earth have some gravitational force
actually theres always some gravitational force in each and every thing that exist
so warth have a good gravitational force

as you go far from earth its gravitational force decrease
then at a point of time its gravitational force become so less that it just holds the object in its place i mean its neither too much gravitational pull there but only the amount that anything is in that place stays there itself and this place or this particular place is known as orbit where anything is bounded towards something and where it cam move around that thing
u can see the example of moon
its at such a place that it experiencs the pull of earth but still it doesnt not fall into the earth because the pull is not so strong that it pull moon towards itself
the streangth of pull is just enought that it keps the think or sam moon bounded to itself
so what happenes is this that a satellite is made up
its loaded on a rocket as each rocket have some capacity to carry certain amount of load with itself commonly know as payload capacity
it carried the satellite to that place called orbit
it unloads the satellite there in the orbit
and each satellite have requires some fule to work and orbit around the earth
and that energy it takes from sun or say the solat eberdy thats y u might have seen so huge solar cell panels on any satellite.
and after the satellite is successfully places in the orbit and it starts working the space shuttle returns back to earth.
