According to Budha: Follow the eight-fold path, pratice meditation on the true nature of reality and disattach yourself from every belonging, even from yourself, and realize that life is suffering and sufferinghappens because of ignorance. Not knowing that the Self does not exist, that is just a process, an integration of phenomena with no independent and intrinsic reality. And that the self as you perceive it will dissapear. But be good and follow the eight fold path so you don't generate any karma that will bring you back, and o like this, forward the enlightment that there is nothing, and then beome extinguished, blown out to never be reborn again.

All these are basic tenets of Mahayana budhism.
