Do you find this weird: In the movies, stuff that happen to or is experienced by Harry, Ron and Hermione happen to Harry only. Such as-
1. Harry overhearing McGonagall and the others talking about
Sirius Black. In the book all three hear it.
2. That Expelliarmus on Snape is only done by Harry in the
movie. (PoA)
3. Only Harry hears Crouch conjuring the Dark Mark.

And I thought I was a Harry Potter fan! I'm going to have to read the books again soon, anyway, in preparation for the last book. So then I'll keep my eyes open for the parts you mention when I watch the DVDs again.

But let's assume you are right. If all three were involved, the scene would be more complicated, because they would talk it over, and so on. Movies have to simplify things where they can, to save time. That is my best guess as to the difference. But I will be checking it out.

Directors and writers of films which are based on books often change things to fit time limits and plot limits. If you've seen the 4th movie, you know that about half of the book is left out. I suspect the 5th movie will be vastly different than the book.

To list all the differences between the movies and the books would take weeks. I don't see what your point is. No movie ever follows the book exactly.

So (this being the geography section) you're saying that the other two are on different continents? Makes for an interesting twist...
