My husband is in the Air Force and on his way home and had to stop in Thailand yesterday, he's says its disgusting because there are child prostitutes everywhere and he see's men from all over who love there JUST for that reason, is anybody helping them? how long do they live? it can't be long because of all the diseases,

I'M NOT SAYING THERE ISN'T PROSTITUTION IN AMERICA, but it doesn't go on like it does in other countries, i know that there isn't a strong chance that my child will be a prostitue like in these countries

Well, as someone who has REALLY BEEN there before, especially Bangkok, the TRUTH is that sort of problem is really only in about a five square block area of the entire city. If your husband saw it everywhere, it's a pretty good bet he was right in the middle of that area of Bangkok. The rest of the city is like any other city - even in the US - stores, shops, office buildings, etc.
People that judge from thousands of miles away should be ashamed of themselves!
Thailand is a beautiful country. Prejudice like you're puking up is the real crime.

I agree with you and I am proud to be an American also....I have never seen child prostitutes in America, but you see it everywhere in Thai....its so sad and I cant even imagine how those poor little girls will grow up...In America we are treated as an equal to a man. to me that should be the laws in the entire world....No female should bow to a man, ever never!!!

Simply saying 'THANK GOD I LIVE IN AMERICA" is not enough. You have a beautiful person living within you who cares about the people living far far away.It is time for people like us living in highly developed countries to actively engage in problems like this. If we donot do now,world will be very different for worst.World has become truly global with the help of technology.There is plenty of donors of money but very few dedicated volunteers who is ready to spend time,efforts,selfless service with love and compassion for the deprived human beings living everywhere;africa,asia,south america.

Oh yes, I have heard about the underage prostitues in Thailand. It is so sad. And the disgusting thing is that people travel there just to have sex with them. It's awful.

This is right. You are right. There is an awful problem there. And the government of Thailand SAYS it is illegal but graft and corruption make it available all over. I would never want to vacation there because of this. I would be heartbroken to see it. Instead of throwing money down the Iraq hole we should invade countries that allow this kind of thing and rescue these poor children and help them. While feeling bad for these Thai girls this is not limited to Thailand. In large cities in America the same thing is going on. You are blind to and condemn everything that is not middle class American culture. That is ignorant.

Since it's the law that children born in the USA are automatic citizens then sure let the children stay, but the illegal parents must be deported. They can take their children with them if they really want them. However I'm sure there are plenty of childless couples ready to adopt if the illegal parents refuse to take their own children back to their own country.

It's very sad that this world is this way. America is just more in the dark, we just got this 60 year old that was a big guy for sleeping with a 16 year prostitude here in Miami. These men are so sick in the head.

Dear the problem is most AMericans and Europeans travel to Thailand for sex. It is a sex heaven in Thailand. And it's cheap too because of the currency exchange rate.
