I personally would love to go more often but can't afford it! I like to watch good Ballets from important companies but I find the prices are so high... it's been ages since I last saw one. Do you think it's worth paying such a lot of money?

yes! you can consider it a treat for yourself! save up for it.. dress nicely and go enjoy yourself! the other option is going to various availble small productions.. they're smaller, less important but can be just as entertaining.. it important to treat yourself ;)

I love to watch ballet, and I'm picky about what to watch. I go approx 3-5 times a year. I cannot afford to pay the full price either. The way I work around it is I get into groups or I organise groups. Group rates are pretty good. You don't get to sit very close if you can't pay a lot, but I don't mind - I bring binoculars.

Since I'm a dancer (ballroom) it not only pleasant for me, but it is important for me to watch ballet.

The Russian Ballet is great. I've seen that before and I was amazed. I always go and see The Nutcracker of course, and since I had been in it when I was younger, it made even more of an impact on me. I love it. I think its worth paying the money, you will enjoy yourself. Plus, you need a treat once ina while. 5 times a year is what I usually do.

I try to go twice a year. Usually once to see something like Giselle or Ma Fille Mal Garde, and once to see The Nutcracker at Christmas.

Like you I would love to go more often and if you think about it like this it's worth it;
Price for a good seat at a good performance = 60 quid
Normal night out in London, (including taxi, drinks, club entry fee) = 60 - 100 quid.

I've been once to the Arizona Ballet, and several times on my campus, and I really loved it. But I'm on a budget of a student living on student loans. I can afford to go on my campus, because those performances are available to me as a student for only five dollars a ticket.

I haven't been to see a ballet at a theatre since I was a young girl.

i love the theatre and try to go 4-5 times a year. 2-3 of those might be ballet. i was lucky enough to see a contemporary swan lake. it was fantastic, lots and lots of sweaty men in tights!

I try to go about once a year. You're right, it's pretty expensive. Some shows are cheaper than others though. The best thing is to take someone. My boyfriend took me this year for Valentine's Day, and then I repaid him by taking him to Spamelot. If you can trade off like that, it's not so bad.
