I write in current time a book about adventure of people that learns martial art from around the world. Have you suggestion to add? I also introduce creatures like dragon, mummy and vampire. Some creature can be defeated only with certain weapon or martial art style.

just write and don't look back... then after you are finished, re-read what you have written and you will have ideas on how to improve what you have already written... soon you will have a good story!
