Extremely rare these days, but even if they do they live apart until they have attained sexual maturity. Remember these sorts of arrangements were not uncommon in Europe centuries ago.

This system of marriage is prevalent in the tribal and uneducated part of India. This is not the case of whole of India.
This is not the whole marriage.It is just like fixing a couple to marry in future. Actual marriage is held according to the rituals of the community and that too after attaining the adult age. 21 years for the boy and 18 for the girl.
