I am 18 years of age, with the qualiifications expected (A level equivalents) asI did teh IB diploma. I have sent my CV arouns to several places, even McDonalds and Asda supermarkets and still I have not been offered a job, it is so difficult for students to find jobs without undergraduate degrees these days. There used to be a serious demand for teens delivering papers and stuff .

Can anyonoe help out? It wd be really appreciated.
Thanks

It's great if you can find something related to your degree, but unfortunately it's only a lucky few that manage this. I graduated already 6 years ago, and looking back, I don't mind that I had a lot of unschooled jobs. For example, I have seen pricks in high positions that were talking about the cleaning lady like she was just a stupid immigrant bride, not knowing that this girl was brave enough to leave her unhappy pre-arranged marriage with 5(!!) children and to work 3 (!!) jobs in order to help all 5 (!!) children get through university. What am I getting at? It's the only time in your life that you get the chance to see the other side of society. So, work at McDonalds, work as a cleaner, a waiter or a paper delivery boy. You will be surprised how much added value it will have later on in your life.

I think it's because it's getting near to Christmas and next month all shops will be taking on extra staff, but they are waiting till then, hang in there you will have the pick of jobs in a matter of weeks, just keep in touch with the job centre and nearer to Christmas look out for jobs fairs in some of the shopping malls where all the shops will be getting people to fill in application forms. Good luck.

Never heard of that qualification... it might turn people off.
Factory work was popular for students when i was at uni 1996-99.
Depends where you live north or south/ town or city.
Highstreet stores, pubs, clubs, bars. many choices matey.
There must be jobs you don't sound too choosy. Or do you prefer the customer industry, what about telesales.

Try Argos - they are starting to recruit extra staff for the Christmas period - go to your local store and ask the management team what vacancies they have.
