For a Dell, your best bet is to go to the Dell website and get the correct video driver.

On the back of your computer, there is small white sticker on the back (bottom of laptop) with a bar code and 6(?) letter/number code. This is the Service Tag. Enter that in step one of the link below and it will take you to the downloads page for your system.

You may have the driver on the CD's that came with the system, but the most updated ones would be on the website.

Right-click on the video card and do an uninstall. Then reboot the computer and (hopefully) it will redetect and reinstall the card.

If not (and if you are using the card that came with the PC), go to http://support.dell.com and enter either the express service tag or the model number of the PC. Go to the Drivers and Download section and look for the video card for your PC. Download it to your computer and let it run the install for you. Should fix the problem.

If you have the software CD, Then Click on the video hardware and hit "Delete" then Click "refresh"

Windows will begin to search for the drivers and you can choose the location..
