Natascha Kampusch has been abducted 8 years ago. The man who abducted her, Wolfgang Priklopil, told her that he asked for ransom money but that her parents didn't want to pay.
He has hold her in his basement all this time, but after half a year she was allowed out sometimes to do household jobs. After a while, she was allowed out some more.
Don't forget that this girl was only ten years old when abducted. Ever heard of the Stockholm Syndrome? Victims of longtime abduction often get some sympathy for their abducter. He is the only one she had contact with, and according to her own words he didn't treat her agressively. It may sound very very weird, but a kind of a relationship will be formed between abducter and victim, wether she hates him or not, or if he abuses her or not. This was her world, and he was a big part of that world.
She escaped from him, knowing that he would commit suicide, as he did a few hours after her escape. This is horrible and no matter if people understand it or not, she will feel guilt and grieve from that.
Yes, it is weird, because most people have never lived through it. For her, it is the life she has known the past 8 years. I feel both sorry for her because she is a victim of abuse and psychologican manipulation to a heavy degree, and I also respect her courage and I think she is quite a heroin for choosing her freedom. She, in her own words, has always been able to stand above him. This young woman has a great power, and for people who have not been there it is impossible to judge or to even understand how her reality must have been and now still is.

Its amazing - I did read in some reports that neighbours had seen her waving out of the car window when they would go out together - so if thats true, how come the neighbours never suspected anything?!

what type of a guy is god to attempt this to an 8 365 days previous baby? he's in basic terms as ill for permitting it to ensue because the guy that did it.. thankfully the guy that abducted her threw himself below a custom.. sucks for the family individuals as they're going to in no way see justice, yet a minimum of the guy is useless! likely in heaven next for your god now having an outstanding previous chat.. reason if he repented, you recognize he's there! Does that make you sense solid to attraction to close the guy that did this to her and her family individuals is sitting in heaven now? faith IS ill!! God is in basic terms as ill because the man who commited this crime!

it is a bit strange. How can she be so calm and composed after 8 yrs in captivity? Why did that man take her for so long? Why did he commit suicide?
