Most lie to hide from the truth or deny it. Some tell the don't necessarily lie, but they don' tell the truth either. Some forget about it. Some fight the truth, while others try to change it. :)

One hides from truth by relying on propaganda for information. for example, in the US most people turn to the large corporate broadcasting networks for their news, such as CNN, FOX, NBC, etc. Anyone looking into these corporations finds that their boards of directors are also the chairs of large multinational corporations involved in energy, infrastructure, arms manufacturing, and at the top of the list, global finance.
When people turn to them for information, they get either half the story or a distorted perspective. Additionally, real and consequential news goes unreported while media campaigns regarding missing persons or inconsequential proceedings receive literally 1000's of hours of broadcast time.
People hide from the truth by allowing themselves to be uninformed about who is delivering their information, and then relying on that source to base their perspectives on life and the world around us. They've bought into an illusion.

You can't - there is no way....If you try to hide from the truth you will be destroyed, emotionally, physically or spiritually....The truth sets you free.
