I want to start meeting new people, but online seems to be full of dating sites. I don't want to date, I'd like to meet both male and female friends who share my interests. Any ideas?

I'm in Glasgow, UK. I'm 23. I like indie music and am learning to play the guitar. I want to buy a pair of roller skates lol, the old skool ones. I find that online, most people are looking for a husband/wife or a quick shag! Even on face party/my space. I'll keep trying though!
