Open the file and then click "save as" you can choose in the drop down at the bottom of the window the "file type" so that's where you choose how to save it, then rename it and off you go.

If I am reading this right, you want to turn a Word file into a picture file? Why?

I am assuming that the person you want to send the file to does not have Word so they can not open the Word file. So you want to conver it to a picture or something the other person can open. Unfortunately, there is no simple way to change a Word document into a picture. But there is a way to make the file useable by your friend...

Using Word, do a "Save as" and save the file in RTF (Rich Text Format). If your friend is running any version of Windows, they will have a program called Wordpad on their computer that is build in to Windows. Have them double-click on the RTF file and it will open in Wordpad for them. Please they will be able to edit the document, etc. if needed.

Hope that is what you needed...
