I have a Lexmark Z615 into which I recently installed the relevant cartridges. Despite not having had them very long they appear to be empty although the readout on the screen still says they are almost full. Any help appreciated.

I have an Epson printer that sometimes has the cartridges plug up when there is lots of ink left. If the normal printer cleaning routine does no good, I take the bad cartridge out and smack it sharply on a piece of paper, nozzle side down. This has always opened the nozzle and restored operation. It does leave some spots of ink, so be sure you do this on scrap paper.

did you leave the cartidges out at any stage or have you not used them in a while as this can cause them to dry up.
