The government will always have someone to hate. Who would we sell guns to if we didn't start wars? Osama bin Laden is a criminal no doubt but the military industrial complex warmongers need to sell products because profit is the name of the game and Osama is the flavor which is their favorite favor. These people have no morals so how would they possibly know what is morally right or wrong. It's about money and no matter how much they say they care about democracy it's just a ploy to fill their pockets with more money then they will ever spend.

Come on, haven't you read the news, watched the films and seen the history of Osama bin Laden. He is a monster. He's training Muslims to kill Americans, when will people get it? I guess maybe everyone is waiting for another 9/11 before they agree with what our country is doing over there. This isn't someone we just picked out & decided to go after. The man is a killer and he wants death to America.

Hello. The entire Neo-Con philosophy is based upon the thought of a philosopher called Leo Strauss, who believed that a society without some kind of struggle or common goal became degenerative. He believed the government's duty was to provide the country with nationalist myths that would unite the people, even if it was based on lies. Common enemies are an easy way to unite countries.

“Why of course the people don’t want war. Why should some poor slob on a farm want to risk his life in a war when the best he can get out of it is to come back to his farm in one piece? Naturally, the common people don’t want war: neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But after all it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship…Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger.”
— Leading Nazi leader, Hermann Goering, at the Nuremberg Trials before he was sentenced to death

“It is the duty of the patriot to protect his country from its government.”
— Thomas Paine

Osama Bin Laden is the bogeyman invented by the US government. When a terrorist attack occurs, the US immediately says that Bin Laden did it so that it appears that they are on top of things. GW Bush has taken Bin Laden a step further by hiring an actor to make tapes and dress up in turbin and beard etc. Then he had CIA operatives fly planes into the WTC. This was done to start a war so that he can remain president after his 8 year term (President is Commander in Chief and can't be replaced in wartime).

Have I ever seen such a moronic question in my life. Osama Bin Laden is a terrorist. He is the most notorious terrorist for recent times. I certainly am not grateful to osama. We as the American society do not kill one another. Criminals kill the american public. Wipe away with osama and destroy the criminal society and there would be no killing. As if that is ever going to happen. It sounds nice though.

Well.. "america should have someone to hate so they can turn around to him and stop killing each other".. what i can figure out from this fact is that USA is the biggest zoo in the world. it should be called united zoos of america. can't america love others so they luv it back? they should keep the wars provoked all over the world so the greedy ppl in the goverment can benefit from the oil and weapons industry. They lied to the whole world starting from their blind so called free to elect ppl by creating this contineous danger on their country starting from soviet union and many new stories ending now to iran and only god know what the next lie is so the ppl elect these war goverments. shame on you america.
