Ads for news articles are preceded by a commercial ad that can't be deleted . I'm very upset about "forced ads"

As they have all said, the ads pay for these "free" services. If it becomes too burdensome for you, subscribe to some premium service. This is Amerika. Capitalism means people pay for things. "No bucks no Buck Rogers (from the movie 'The Right Stuff')" As much as I like the idea of complete socialism, it really does not work. Humanity is not ready for it.
Added: And, trying to Zap the ads, or to Zip through them on the Tivo won't help. Now they do heavy-duty product placement in the Television Shows and the Movies, and for all I know, TV News and certainly web pages so that even if you skip the ads, you are still exposed to the dreaded "ring around the collar" (old Tide jingle from another millenium). It is, unfortunatelly a necessary evil. I just don't feel like moving into the Alaskan wilderness and living in a log cabin in order to escape the onslaught. Not yet, anyway. I like my MTV, correction, VH 1, or 2, OK, I signed up for XM Satelite RAdio (observe the product placement in this deceptively and allegedly non-commercial answer to your question). Give up. You are surrounded!!!!

You have a choice: Don't watch the video at all.
The ad is how the people who make and present the video get paid. I suppose you could give them your credit card number instead; if enough people are willing to follow your lead, you can end internet ads altogether.
Me? I'll watch the ad (although I might mute it).

because the advertiser wants your soul....and your money. We need a foundation for an Ad Free Universe (and I mean universe because soon Pepsi will be naming it's own constellation, no doubt). Who runs the "free" world? Corporations. How can they reach you? Ad's. Where will you come into contact with ad's? everywhere, including your dreams. this is sad.....

because you want it and they have it, just like watching commercials on TV, you can cut the sound and wait, soon they'll have TiVo for your PC as well, just like they have pop up blockers
