I'm a French student coming this year to Bristol. I've played rugby in France in the university team, but standard of play in British universities is really too high for me.

Do you know a cool rugby club in Bristol that could accept me (I've played only for two years) ? I just want to play a little and to have fun.

I don't mind if it's not a student team, I don't care.

Thank you for your answers !

There are so many clubs in Bristol, you are spoiled for choice. There is a pdf with directory of clubs in the Bristol Combination with contact details etc on their website.

Clifton RFC may be your best bet. They have loads of teams. If you email crfc@cliftonrugby.co.uk or call 0117 9500 445, someone should be able to help you.

Hope this helps!

You need to broaden your search. A hot rugby team might be worth investigating.

Sorry - I couldn't resist! Universities have teams that play at all levels. I'm sure there will be a team that matches your standard.

Universities have good social teams at a lower level so I would still join. You'll meet great people and have a beer filled time.

As an All Blacks supporter I have come to appreciate many of the northern hemisphere communities which incorporates Wales, eire and France. i love how Wales highly have embraced a more desirable 'southern hemisphere' kind of rugby the position the crew is truly close knit and there is various interchanging truly of basically the forwards driving and the backs kicking a drop objective the following and there. it is largely by using Warren Gatland's effect and that i imagine Wales are very fortunate to have secured him till 2015. i imagine this youthful crew is one to seem ahead to RWC 2015. I also praise the Irish for his or her spirit and for interpreting the Wallabies properly to take care of descent victory over them contained in the pool adventure(no straightforward feat). even as they're on form, the Irish defence is difficult to ruin and their scrum isn't 1/2 undesirable both. as a lot as i'm getting irritated with the french crew for no longer continuously putting up the finest of performances (pool sport vs tonga), for the 'hollywoods' they pull and drink breaks they have in an attempt to decelerate the momentum of the competition i trust they're a highly gifted part who I thank for putting up an outstanding strive against hostile to the ABs contained in the perfect (besides the very undeniable reality that it replaced into terrible to observe). as a lot as i know it replaced into disrespectful for the french crew to strengthen previous the halfway line in the course of the haka - i actually idea it replaced into an outstanding acknowledgment of the ABs project and actually confirmed each body that they were the following to play!! we'd want to continuously assume massive issues in 2015 and that i trust the perimeters to observe are Wales, NZ, France and Australia (as a lot as I hate the Wallabies i imagine they're going to be risky in 2015 as they have great skills coming by which incorporates James O'Connor, David Pocock, Anthony and Saia Faingaa, Quade Cooper?? and Digby Ioane)
