Federer. He's number one. He can play any style of tennis. He is calm and even-tempered. He's way ahead in ATP points. He has won so many tournaments. He's much better to watch. He climbed even further up without a coach. Sharapova is noisy and only knows powerhouse tennis. She won Wimbledon once and really hasn't reached that level again. Her father is very annoying.

You can't compare these people, really, they are very different, and its not like they ever face each other.

Looks: Would be Sharapova, I think she is ugly, but she is better looking that Federer, yuk.

Skill: Definitely Federer. What Sharapova has I wouldn't call skill.

Personality: Hmm, the same, really boring.

I don't see how it's even debatable. Federer has already won more majors than Sharapova probably ever will. Sharapova is smokin' hot but she's not even the best woman's player right now and Federer is the best men's by far.

Federer is a better player, Sharapova looks better.
You generally can't compare men's tennis vs. women's unless you're doing top ranked women vs. much lower ranked men. Apples and oranges.

Unless you are asking to compare Sharapova's dominance on the women's tour vs. Federer's dominance on the men's tour. That would be different, but still I'd side with Federer.

Roger Federer no doubt. Not only does he have the physical game, but he also has the metal toughness. Maria Sharapova also has a pretty good good, but a lot of the time it isnn't good enough. As for mental toughness, she does have a good head on her shoulders. But come one, Roger Federer is just the best, which is why he has been number 1 for like the past 3 years.

Skill= Federer (although Sharapova is really skilled too)
Good looks= Sharapova (although Federer is good looking as well)
Personality=About the same. (They're both very polite, but rarely have anything meaningful, or humorous to say)

Once again, in terms of skill Federer is in a league of his own. Sharapova might be in the same league as, say, Andre Agassi. However, Federer is in the same league as Steffi Graf.

Looks - Sharapova..

Listen, Maria's a very good player and a fierce competitor, but if you're comparing them as tennis players, Federer is light years ahead of her! it's not even close to being close.

Who do you think is better, Tiger Woods or Michelle Wie?
Not quite analogous, but close.

Federer is a better player compared to the other men.

Sharapova is the better looking compared to other women, not the best player compared to other women though.

Sharapova is still young, she has about 5 to 8 more years to be the best, she did hold the number one ranking once.

Federer. He can hit any shot from anywhere on the court. Sharapova has a real tough time near the net. Roger is faster too.

hey federer's a man and sharapova's a lajdy. men definitely habve more strength than women.men get more money than women. men have to win in a best of 5 sets and women in best if 3 sets. so i guess federer. plus men have stronger services than women.you can also compare the men's fastest serve to the woman's fastest serve.
