Your body shape depends upon the way you eat and treat yourself physiologically, physically and psychologically.
One must follow some regime daily like sleep, meals, work and entartainment for certain intervals and same time everyday. One tends to abuse one's own self by eating unhealthy food like junk food, watching T.V for longer durations or just lazing around.
Right mix of everything including the junk food n movies, some good deeds n some sin, some virtues and some vices are good. The biggest test is to arrive at the RIGHT mix. If you give a serious thought and speak to good friends, you 'd be able to do it...

Increasing your physical activity. This will force your body to burn its stored fat as fuel. But don't forget that you cannot control which pockets of fat are burned first. So even though you may have a large amount of abdominal fat and only a small amount around your face, your body may decide to reduce your facial fat first. Or, it may burn off some of the fat from your stomach area, then some from your face, then more from your belly, then some from your thighs or arms, and so on. The point is, reducing fat from your middle can be a slow process and you must be patient.......

don't have any kids, if you're a female. that's the easiest way to NEVER have a flat stomach. Other than that, do sit-ups.

Get a rowing machine...you get all the benefits of sit-ups and running and cardio, all mixed into one. Just 30 minutes a day will give you those defined abs that you want. (They may not be FLAT but they will be defined.)

there is no easy way, that actually work... this does though
while you sit, tense your stomach muscles, in every direction. do this all day, even while you walk.
also, eat fruit and veg, drink water to shift the fat.
youd have to finish off with getting up to 100's of situps per day. but start low!
