I can hear my Rob Zombie music on the CD player (very loud!) coming from upstairs as I was doing something up there, just came down to check and see if my 'toyboy' had emailed with an E.T.A. for this evening, then got distracted by the DVD I had left running in the lounge, a good pirate (excuse the pun...) copy of Pirates of the Caribbean 2, someone, I know not who, and I will swear it on a stack of bibles is necessary, someone downloaded from something called 'a file sharing site? Whatever one of those is? Tee hee! It is better that the first one, I think!! Depp is always good though. So with Rob, still playing as I'm typing and Depp still being outrageous as I listen to Rob and himself lug it out for priority in my 'lugs', plus I am loudly reassuring Meshuggah, my youngest cat that I am on my way to get him a piece of the nice boiled ham he knows is is the fridge as long as he keeps it down or the others and there are 4 of them will hear the commotion! They are all always alert to the sound of the fridge being opened anyway, so will all come skidding around the corner should they hear him/it, as they are also aware that the 'nice ham' is in the fridge, and if 'he's getting some, them so should I/we, and we need more than him as we are bigger etc etc. Then despite Rob Zombie, Johnny Depp et al, I will no doubt be 'firm and resolute' when I had it all over to my moggies and possibly some, if there is any left, to my neighbours cats, fortuna tely there are only 2 of them, neighbours that is! Though I think mebe Rob may have sent them out (of their minds?) for a walk by now as he is rather loud now that I think about it! I will have to turn the TV up as I cannot quite catch all the Pirates dialogue! The upshot of all of this is 'what then will I give my erstwhile toyboy for his tea when he does arrive?'
Looks like I am too late to treat Meshuggah as there has just been a mad dash of many mogs by me towards the kitchen, Mitzi, my oldest cat has got sick of waiting for me, or of Meshuggah yowling like a Banshee, she is capable of opening the fridge, any fridge I have ever owned indeed, so the silence which I can hear from the kitchen speaks volumes! In fact I better go see what that 'silence' is about! WHAT?

I have my ipod in one ear and am listening to Nine Inch Nails 'The hand that feeds'. The other ear hears the sound of the small space heater in my office and someone on the phone down the hall

I can hear a tractor engine, which is pulling a watering device that is watering the hanging baskets outside my office, and traffic, and the photocopier humming, and the air conditioning unit, and my tap-tap-tapping on the keyboard....oh, and the fax machine just rang.

I can hear the soft breathing of the girl that I love
As she lies here beside me, asleep with the night
And her hair in a fine mist floats on my pillow
Reflecting the glow of the winter moonlight

But I've got to creep down the alley way
Fly down the highway
Before they come to catch me I'll be gone
Somewhere they can't find me

Oh baby, you don't know what I've done
I've committed a crime, I've broken the law
While you were here sleeping and just dreaming of me
I held up and robbed a liquor store

But I've got to creep down the alley way
Fly down the highway
Before they come to catch me I'll be gone
Somewhere they can't find me

Oh my life seems unreal, my crime an illusion
A scene badly written in which I must play
And though it puts me uptight to leave you
I know it's not right to leave you
The morning is just a few hours away

But I've got to creep down the alley way
Fly down the highway
Before they come to catch me I'll be gone
Somewhere they can't find me

The hum of my PC
The sound of digits on the keyboard
Our neighbours through the apartment wall
A slight ringing in my ears
My stomach rumbling!
My thoughts

I used to play this game in bed as a child - amongst others!

I can hear the hum of an electric fan, the distant chattering of colleagues and the occassional car horm and traffic roar.
