The salary varies widely depending on the area you live, for example in Los Angeles area, the per diem rate for med tech range from $30-40+/hr, I know many med tech who make over $100,000 a year working one full time job and a part time job in the Los Angeles area. Lab manager can get around $150,000. But there are many area in the U.S. where you get less than $20 per hour working as med tech. If you want the most comprehensive salary survey, you can go to the American Scoeity of Clinical Pathology website, http://www.ascp.org/Certification/ForProgramDirectors/research/documents/wvac2005.pdf
and just look at the region that you live in.

Best of luck.

This actually depends on the area. In areas where there are plenty of lab techs, you may be paid just a little over minimum wage, other areas where they are needed, it can be higher. Best of luck to you.......
