The most useful course I ever took was a basic tax course. It was recommended by a law professor and just happened to work for my schedule a semester or two later.
Whether you are in business or a "lily of the field", tax is part of your life in the world today.
To this day, I am astonished at how useful that one course was.

Hi,
The most important class I took in college was Creative Writing. It was also the easiest and most fun, as I had oodles of poems, reams and reams already written, therefore I had no preparation for this class other than deciding (and sometimes it was a rigorous process) which poem(s) to bring to our little informal class...and to be with other aspiring poets and writers was invigorating and challenging. The prof who taught the class was very engaging, warm and personable. It was certainly not a gut class, as to read my poems to the small class was daunting, even though I was greatly encouraged by students and teacher.
That was in the latter half of the Sixties, a tumultuous period but don't worry, if you missed it, you didn't miss a whole heck of a lot, 'cuz what's going on now is even more spasmodic what with Tsunamis, hurricanes (New Orleans, etc) Twin Towers...9/11...some people say that 9/11 was an inside job by U>S> government, who knows, governments do these things to their own people and the war in Iraq is so all about oil and everything I write turns out a diatribe against the government and pass the Lord and praise the ammunition!

Introduction to Psychology.
It opened the doors to many of the unanswered questions I had about the mind. I really don't see how there is anything more important than to understand ourselves.
