Does a pregnant woman refrain from doing any household activity or tasks involving using knives/scissors for cutting or any other physical activity which may endanger the unborn child? Is this just a superstition or is it a fact for real?

an eclipse is a powerful alignment of forces, which
affects life on Earth. In India, the tradition is that
pregnant women should not look at the eclipse of
the Moon, or they risk miscarrying - I know personally
of a case where someone miscarried just after looking
at a lunar eclipse (although it's possible this was a
coincidence).

To be born during an eclipse bodes ill for the parents,
specially father if it's a solar eclipe or mother if it's a
lunar eclipse.

Not too long ago, man was more in harmony with
the cycles of nature, but the modern scientific method
has squashed all the magic and wonder of the cosmos
and how everything is interconnected. As without, so
within.

Well I'm mexican and from what I've heard is that an eclipse does affect the unborn child, that's where cleft lip comes from. Its just best to ask your doctor. From what I've been told you can not be outside or near a window on that night, and also wear a safety pin, or tie a key near your belly, some type of metal is safe. Does sound like an old wife's tale from Mexico.

to some it may sound as superstition but i have heard the activities of a mother during an eclipse affect her unborn child... so it is important that a woman stays calm and in good moods without any unwanted activities during this time...

No. It is a superstition I wish I had known this one when I was pregnant.

The only thing I heard about the moon,is that many mothers give birth on a full moon.

Do you live in the dark ages where people thought an eclipse meant the end of the world and they ran screaming in fear to hide in their houses?

Never heard of it!
But I will practice it with my next pregnancy if it means my man has to take me out for dinner!
