Nope. There are tropical and coldwater freshwater fishes, and tropical and coldwater saltwater fishes also.

Tropical fish aren't salt water fish at all! Salt water fish are marine fish from the sea and tropical fish are from warm lakes and rivers like the Amazon etc.

Tropical simply refers to the waters temperature, and has no bearing on salinity level. Tropical just means warm. You can have both freshwater and marine tropical fish.

Marine aquariums contain fish that require saltwater.
Freshwater fish are easier and much cheaper.

no. on many islands in the tropics there are freshwater lakes. Ande where there are fresh water lakes there are freshwater fish.
