She'll make plenty of money for the book and film rights, so she'll be financially OK for the rest of her life. I couldn't imagine that anyone who'd undergone what she has suffered would even want to go near the place again. Although I think she should benefit financially from the sale of the property. Good luck to her.

She already gets a lot of money from the distribution of the interview and probably from a book and a film that will no doubt be released in years to come. Apart from that she looks and sounds like a sensible 18 year old who knows what she wants and what she doesn't want. Part of her life has been waisted of course but she will turn out fine.

As fajita says the house should probably be demolished.

I doubt very much she will want anything to do with that house, ever again. I imagine she may even want to change her identity and get far, far away from the place it all happened. I feel so sorry for her and her poor family. Imagine what they went through, having to get used to the idea that she was dead....and then finding out what had really happened to her. To lose your beloved child at age 10 and to find her again, a traumatized young woman...how dreadful for all of them.

She should definitely be given some sort of compensation from the government, her childhood has been robbed from her. She is probably mentally scarred and has missed out on an education. She should be given some money formally, it shouldn't be up to her to sell her sad story.

I think that she should be given ownership definitly! I think that she should sell it asap though. I think that actually living there longer can only cause more harm. I think there is a lot more to that story than we are seeing.
