The best definition I have read on Leadership is by the Greek philosophers. Good leadership comprise of the trinity of Ethos, Pathos and Logos. One without the other(s) usually means impending disaster. Pol Pot, Hitler, Nixon etc are examples of shortcomings in one or more of the ingredients.
