Can there really be an answer to this, and is it worth it to try?

For a marathon, about one tenth of one percent of Americans have run one. Thats about 1 in 1,000 people. If you inclued everyone in the world that percentage gets a lot lower.

An ironman is even more rare. I dont know the exact numbers, but I would guess between 1 in 10,000 to 1 in 50,000

Have no idea on the first question But the 2nd consist of running,swimming,and riding a bike.
