i used to work part time in a call centre when i was a university student. personally i think as a part time job its good. the pay is decent for a part-timer.

however, i wont suggest it as a full-time profession. there is no career growth, you do not get to learn and the experience of working in a call center is not goint to help you in getting a great job. besides, the work is patterned and so tedious. some of the people you will communicate with may really frustrate you.

it depends on actually what you want. if you just want a job, its okay but if you are ambitious and want to have a meaningful career, i dont think it is the one you are looking for.

I worked in a call center for 18months. Really enjoyed it at first but then the work became very tedious, sitting all day (not good), short breaks from working on computer (not good to be on it all day). Took calls from abusive people with shocking bad language and bad manners. I had to be on call at home 24/7 and was expected to go to work with 20 mins notice day or night. Pay was good then but since they have lowered the wages. Would not go back to that kind of work again.

I dont work in call centre, but I am impressed by the salaries announced in the vacancy advertisement in Delhi, India. They are offering 12000-15000 Rs for a beginner. A good start in Indian Context. Moreoverit does not require any special or technical education. In fact I am trying to get a call centre job on part time basis. can you help me?
