i want to find a site where i can post photos and the occasional short video about my personal life and surroundings, so that friends and family can view it (people whom i tell about it first). Youtube is good, but more for videos for public viewing and ratings etc. Can anyone help? Would this be known as a blog site? help i'm not very technical. thank you.

You can make your site just learn HTML (a good turtorial here http://www.w3schools.com/xhtml/default.asp ) and _javascript ( a good turtorial here http://www.w3schools.com/js/default.asp ). When you make your site you can host free from here http://www.doteasy.com/index.cfm?A=goto and you can get a free domain name from here http://www.dot.tk/en/index.html . This would be the best choise. Otherwise you can use http://www.pixparty.com/ this site to upload your photos and your videos.
