from the sky fell this meteroite, and when examined, something yellow was found. This was kept in NASA's incubator, and YO BEHOLD, a chick came out, the same chick with which you slept, to make the first egg, which became a chicken. Ever since then, the chicken-egg, chicken-egg has been going on.
Naughty of you, creating it and still asking around? You could have applied for copywrite, patent & and TM registeration. You could have been a billioner by now, by charging just a penny on every egg produced in the world.

EGG. The bird laid a mutated egg - that hatched and mated with a bird and the next egg hatched and was a chicken. The original bird was of course the well known chickasorus, 6 legs and weighed in at several tonnes and had a 30 ft wingspan and flew enormous distances. Why it laid such a tiny egg and the result was a bird that can't fly is still a mystery a million years later.

Once again, a species is defined by its offspring. If by some grand genetic mutation a chicken should lay an egg that develops into a something other than a chicken, it will be the egg that will have come first, not the chicken.

First of all, an egg is created, not born, so if you go by that, it would have to be the chicken. But if you're just asking which came first, it would be the egg--other creatures were laying eggs long before chickens came along.

The chicken was born first, grew up and crossed the road to visit the rooster, got fertilized and then the egg was produced. By the way, an egg cannot be born. The little creature inside is what is born, the egg is merely produced.

Chicken was created first. The egg was then laid by the chicken. Neither can be born first because the chicken doesn't give birth, it lays eggs.
