The Rolling Stones were at there peak in the 70's.

I recommend the book 'A Journey Through America With The Rolling Stones' by Robert Greenfield. Put on Exile On Main Street and enjoy.

Led Zep were also on a flier during the 70's. But the Stones just edge them, probably because they are still ROCKIN'
