he says he misses me and tells everything to his friends after i broke up with, but he doesnt phone me to talk about it how we can fix it because i still care about him and i think he does too. but why doesnt he do anything? i have done everything i can but its all in vain.

Pick up the phone and call him, if that does not work, go to his house or write a letter. I think you said your the one that broke up with him, so you are the one who should fix it.

Did you talk to him about it? Maybe you should confront him if he still love you or if you already asked him and he told you yes but still nothing happened maybe he still confused in what he should do. There is also a possible that he still love you and yet he also love another girl that's why he can go back to you. Ofcourse there are reasons why he is doing those things to you.
