On earlier Casio models, there was a button which added a "Graph Y" to the normal input screen, on newer models you start off by selecting graphs from the menu when turning it on.

You need to find the key for entering X. It may be labelled on the button X,(theta),t , or similar, or it may just use the button assigned the letter X. You'd then just enter an equation, and press EXE, and if in graph mode (where it adds graphs to a list), press the F key under where it says DRAW on the screen.

You may also need to set a view window. There may be an option like VIEW shown.

So, for

Graph Y = sin X

You'd want to start X at maybe -180, go up to 180, and set Y from -1 to 1. The pitch setting is less important, just set it to 1.

For Ti and Sharp models, it should be similar, the manual will advise.

I can help you out to some degree if you use a TI-89. I've got a TI-89 Titanium that I know how to use for the most part. All of the TI calculators are pretty different from model to model so you need to find someone with the same model as you've got. If you can't find anyone find a math teacher in your school or something, they should be able to help you too.

A graphics calculator is easy to use as long as you know waht formuleas to put in. somewhere on the calculator there should be a Y= button it takes you into where to place your functions once you have placed them in. There should be another button that says Graph press this and a cartesian plane should come up with your linear graph plotted
