the answer is 1
because as you can see in the pattern, 81 is 3 times of 27, 27 is 3 times of 9, 9 is 3 times of 3..and as for 3 is 3 times of what, divide 3 by 3 and you get 1.
Therefore, the answer is 1

You need to work out what has been done to the first number to arrive at the second, and so on.....
So 81 to 27 .... well 81 divided by 3 is 27, 27 divided by 3 is 9, 9 divided by 3 is 3, and 3 divided by 3 is 1
So your answer is 1 in future look at the relationships between the numbers, work out the differences and consider the series from both ends, sometimes working from one side you'll see the pattern that you didn't see before.
