What would be the commonly accepted definition of "common sense" and would one person's definition of "common sense" be different from another person's definition and who would decide what is the commonest of all the common senses?

I wish I knew how to manufacture common sense. I could then bottle it and sell it in supermarkets. I'd make a fortune! The funny thing is that Thomas Jefferson didn't like idea of the New United States being run on party political lines, although he thought it was probably inevitable. Even now, all politicians are afraid of what Jefferson referred to as "the tyranny of the majority". He wasn't, as he considered that most people were decent, good, and honest, and they would always reach the right decision in the end. Common Sense ------- In your dreams!

once you initiate to understand the international, no longer basically the country, you'll keep in mind that we are no longer divided on race, faith, or practise or political position. even if those stated above initiate their very own social gathering makes no massive difference. Obama figured it out, why can't you. that's about money. fifty one% of the inhabitants pay little or no taxes. tell them you'll take from the rich and supplies to them. the outcome is a no-brainer. Then upload the very undeniable reality that you're going to open the flood gates for immigrants that are basically like the fifty one% little or non paying tax payers and also you may want to take care of the means for decades. there is basically one concern. the rich are declaring "shove you taxes". the rich are taking their businesses an jobs elsewhere. in view that they administration 80% of the jobs they have the aptitude to emplode the U. S.. It has already began . we are at a 25 365 days severe on unemployment. the jobs a leaving immediately. the rich are declaring in case you nuts favor to tax us to demise then you definately will lose your jobs. the rich will continuously be rich. yet you may want to develop into between the unemployed. It happend to Calif and it may ensue to the U. S.. awaken and scent the espresso.

We cannot get rid of party politics because we cannot get rid of disagreement.
Even sensible people disagree about what is the best solution to a complex problem.
Common sense cannot solve everything.

People-oriented candidates should become independents instead of being enticed by parties with selfish interests. Governments must be run by single minded persons witn good intentions not by greedy party platforms .

great idea ... the only problem is that once the party became powerful enough to threaten the elites cash flow they would start having *ahem ....accidents ...kinda like kennedy did. face it ... ur an asset to make them richer ...the US govt is absolutely NOT for the people, think about it ... they want to keep u perpetually in debt so you own nothing while u slave ur life away giving all your earnings to them in the form of taxes and interest and the reality for most americans is that they actually own nothing ....we have been reduced to serfs.

i get the awful feeling that what you think is common sense, i would think of as madness. isn't that why there is more than one party? to reflect differing views among the 'people' -- or do you believe every person has the same views and they are the same as yours?

Whose common sense? I think you might think different people have different views on what is common sense, which is why we have several political parties.

Yeah but we'd end up falling out over why the Guiness in Dublin tastes good and the exported stuff not quite so good.
