What is the difference between a lawn gnome and a terrorist?

To some who shower us with their infinite wisdom on this forum, absolutely none. A yard gnome is just as ideologically driven, religiously devoted. He is just as capable of inflicting millions of dollars of loss and hundreds if not thousands of deaths. He is just as capable of operating and financing independent terrorist cells of other yard gnomes.

And the only reason he doesn't have a nuclear weapon yet is because his brain is just too small to grasp nuclear fission.

So, the next time he trips you on the way out the door, remember! It was an act of terrorism!

Oh, but wait, I shouldn't be causing so much fear. Sorry.

Then again the alternate explanation is that yes, yard gnomes are just harmless lumps of plaster.

And so is Ramsey bin al Shib, and Ali Muhamed, and Mohammed Atta, and Ramsey Yusuf, and all the rest of them. Just lumps of plaster they are. And so are the 10+ million jihadists out there. You see, because lumps of plaster don't behead 13 year old schoolgirls on the way to schoo. They don't kill schoolchildren in Beslan. They don't blow up trains in Kashmere. They don't hijack planes. They don't engage in ethnic cleansing in Kosovo. They don't kidnap and behead journalists. They don't blow up buses. They don't do anything. They are just lumps of plaster. Anyone telling you otherwise is just trying to scare you, because they REALLY just want to listen to the gossip you talk about with your girlfriend on the phone.

Zenos, this whole question is for the person who answered on another question of mine that a terrorist training camp was no more dangerous than your backyard.

Get a life ... if you want to sow hatred against religion, do it in the spirituality/religous area ... or are you scared of going there because you might be proven wrong (thats my guess)
