no. he's still playing for real madrid in the spanish la liga. he isn't on the england squad only bc mcclaren took him off but he hasn't retired from it, he is still available to play. if mcclaren decided to pick him up again, he would come back and play.

He is not retired,he still plays for Real Madrid,he,s not included in the current England team because his recent performances were not very good,but i,m sure he will play for england again!!

why would you need proof ? why do you care if he is or isn't, his going to retire out of being captain not football watch the news there's your pfoor, anyway I think tahts his getting ahead, his 30 now isnt he? about time he retired permanent;y and all, his not as good as he used tobe not that he was all that great to begin with
