English as a spoken language is one of the hardest to learn because of so many meanings to some of the simplest words, and our cultures use of slang. The best way to learn it, is first take some classes, and then find a few people that speak different dialects (American and British English are different ... when most people talk about English being spoken world wide, they are talking about British English), read (and read out loud) to practice ... good luck in learning the use of this language :) have a good day :)

I am an American. I had a student living with me that was foreign. He spoke very good english.
He said that he learned it by watching American TV and then starting with reading American childrens books.
Please do realize if you watch our TV we are not like our TV. It is fake. We are not like that. That is as strange to you as it is to us. We do not live like that or act like that. In California people are weird, but other states are normal. I hate to go to Califonia because people are very mean and superficial.
