why do men put empty packets back in the cupboard and empty milk bottles in fridge??

same reason as they leave toilet seats up, leave dirty footmarks through a house, leave the lights turned on during the day, dont put the toothpaste cap back on the tube and are unable to put dirty cutlery IN the flammin dishwasher - to annoy and try us!!!

didn't you know that if you put an ampty carton or packet back in the fridge opr cupboard and leave it for a day the kitchen fairy's magically fill it up again?

I still do it and I live on my own... I love coming home to a cupboard full of empty packets, I always think mmm I really fancy one of those would have been great if there were some in there.

1. generalisations are unfair! Not all men are like that even not most.

2. The definition of empty may need to be clarified. If there still something inside it is not empty. In addition is there is no ready replacement it may be a form of reminder.

3. You may have to see that this is not some for of covert hostility. Coz if the relationship is right or they are on thier own the bin will be found.

4. Don't shoot the answerer...cos the truth is not always pleasant.

they do that so the women around them have more work to do. They automatically think (usually they know) a woman will come along and get rid of it. Perhaps they dont wanna be blamed for drinking the last of it or getting some more.
They also don't put the toilet paper on the roll. I grew up in a house with four men and all of these things seem to be something only men do. Whats up with it? I was brought up exactly the same way in the same house etc, yet I manage to do these things. One of the many mysteries of the sexes.
I really think that they honestly don't know what they should do as every time a woman asks them, they give you that look like they have no idea what you are talking about. A bit like when you tell the dog to get outta the house. They really do not understand where it should go and when you tell them, they switch off and stare blankly while thinking about something else and nodding.

and why then do some women buy more food than the family can eat and it goes off in the fridge and they have to throw it away?

My mother does it all the time. She always has more cheese and meat and veg in her fridge than she can eat, and won't let my dad eat them either, says he consumes too much cholesterol and puts on weight

because there is something in there brain that does not switch on to put it in the bin!! or the fact could be because if they do that means they dont have an exuse if they put it in the bin once they'll have to keep doing it. an most men are lazy.

As a mother I don't put up with it. I ask repeatedly for the kids and my husband to put things in the bin. It's just a losing battle. Who wants a nag for a mum?

They are lazy and maybe the bottle can be reused later so it is comfortable to place it back and be reminded when one sees it again.

OH god this sounds so like my house! isn't this dead annoying, i live with my hubby n 2 teenage boys and they all do it! i drives me absolutely mad! they do it cos they just cant be arsed to put things in the bin! i think they all think that I'm the maid or something,
