when taking an IQ test, often, the test requires us to answer questions in which pictures (usually geometric diagrams) are shown and then it ask us to find the next picture in the sequence or find a picture that doesn't belong to the group. Does anyone know a website that explains how to see the pictures or can anyone explain it to me?

It's not something that can be explained, or that you can practice. An IQ test merely evaluates your ability to perform a series of mental exercises. One of them is the ability to see patterns (pattern recognition) or to visualize objects in three dimensions. A score of 100 is perectly average. People have different strengths and typically do better at some things than at others. But any IQ test is only an approximate tool. It gives a general idea of a person's intelligence but may not reflect their special talents.

Its part of the test which establishes the way you think. In some cases similar tests are given to possible future employees . Tests your ability to see an object and mechanically see the change of events. If you cant see it , ask someone who can and explain it to you. If you still cant see it . Then you may have strengths in a different area.
That just may be a weak point but does not mean your IQ will be low.

The test is to see if you have the ability to figure that out on your own...which is why IQ tests are supposed to be administered under controlled conditions, by a mental health professional.

These are my favourite. You just compare the pictures and see a pattern. Patterns vary and it's really fun to find them on your own. Go ahead :)

i think that's why it's an IQ test, to see what's your brain ability, it's nothing that you studied, or have seen before, it's just about your sense of things, and your inner logical thinking mechanism...
