Throughout history many countries have been occupied, but I think the establishment of a new country with a new people, is a new phenomenon that is exclusive to our times.
Students are saying that sixty years ago such a country did not exist. They show old documents and globes and say try as we have, we have not been able to find a country named Israel.

Study the history of WWI and II. Every student says that during WWII, which more than tens of millions of people perished in, news about the war, was quickly disseminated by the warring parties. Each touted their victories and the most recent battlefront defeat of the other party. After the war they claimed that six million Jews had been killed. Six million people that were surely related to at least two million families.
Again let us assume that these events are true. Does that logically translate into the establishment of the state of Israel in the Middle East or support for such a state? How can this phenomenon be rationalized or explained? Israel came into existence by force and with the help of UK and USA conspiracy
-Many thousands were killed in the process.
-Millions of indigenous people were made refugees.
-Hundreds of thousands of hectares of farmland, olive plantations, townsand villages were destroyed.
This tragedy is not exclusive to the time of establishment; unfortunately it has been ongoing for sixty years now.

Is support for this regime in line with the teachings of Jesus Christ (PBUH) or Moses (PBUH) or liberal values?

First, please look up the definition of the word phenomenon. I think the word you really want is "impression."

Palestine was divided in 1923 with over 75% being made into an Arab state called Transjordan (which later became Jordan).

Israel was a land nearly 3,000 years ago. Here is a map of the land distribution in 733 BCE: http://www.fsmitha.com/h1/map05isr.htm

Jews have lived in the current land of Israel for over 2,000 years. After WWII, Jews who lived in Arab countries were forcibly evicted, but many people are unaware of that fact. The number of Jews who were thrown out of Arab countries in 1948 is about 750,000.
