The end of Republican foolery

Most of the ppl have explained when and why we have these mid-term elections. Note worthy also is their "feelings" of hope that the GOP will lose control and the Demos take control. If that happens - and I have no idea in what part of the world you live - be prepared for much turmoil on US soil. More possibly than we've seen since the Civil War. Shopping Malls will become battle zones, sports arenas will become tombs, and places merely representing our way of life - Wall Street, fast food, the Pentagon, Wal-Mart!, all will become targets for destruction just as the WTC was. I need only point you to the never ending news of far off lands to make my point.

It's important for me to say that I don't agree with the how and why the US gov't does everything it does, but I also feel it is equally important to say it 's doing the best it can under the circumstances. There are many, myself included, who wish all this strife will simply go away, and they feel if the US gets out and comes home, it will end. I feel it will not! Thomas Jefferson once said, speaking about US citizens; The ppl are a great beast. And while I'm sure we own enough guns privately to mount a repelling force to halt a small scale invasion, that type of invasion is not the type we shall face. The kind of invasion that concerns me will come in the form of guerrilla type assaults, a kind of David vs Goliath. I, for one, pray this does not happen!

The midterm election is the middle of the presidential term, but represents new terms for 1/3 of the Senate and the entire House of Representatives.

This election is important, because it is a chance for Democrats, who balance the budgt and ensure prosperity instead of spending all the money waging wars, to win control of one or both houses of Congress and set the stage for winning everything in 2008.

I don't know all the in's and out's, but basically, I think it's a year for a Senate election. (I think they serve 6 year termsl) But the main thing that everyone is worried about, is that now, the Republichans have control of all 3 branches of government.

The Democrats want to gain control, meaning they want to have more of them in office than of Republichans. The Republicans want to make sure that they stay in control.

Stupid politics.
