With my first pregnancy. All I wanted was white chocolate and lime milkshakes. Must have been a calcium thing.

Couldn't stand meat of any description.

Pregnancy can do some very wierd things to you! During my pregnancy I lived on ice lolly's (and when I could actually hold down some food chicken roast dinners!) Sometimes your normal eating habbits will come back after the baby is born but I have found that the smell of some foods that I used to love now make my stomach turn!

Anything can make you feel sick in pregnancy! I found that curry made me heave (I love curry normally!) and certain smells would have me dashing to the loo. The queasy feeling may subside after a couple of months, so you may just have to wait and find an alternative! Sorry! Good luck with the baby.

I don't know yet (I am a chocoholic too, but haven't been pregnant yet).

One of my friends told me her baby girl became overexcited and started kicking, etc., when she had chocolate (that was in the later half of pregnancy). So I wouldn't find it impossible if it would make you queasy.

Listen to your body. It takes better care of you then normal. This is a bit troublesome I would guess, getting sick and having cravings but it is all to make your body be as good a breeding chamber as it can be.

Good luck and enjoy your chocolate...in moderation. You could try minty chocolate or even orange flavored. You may just like that.

It did go off it in the first three months because my sickness was too bad. I went off loads of my fave foods and drink back then - including green tea which I really like normally.

I'm not too bad with chocolate now (I'm 27 weeks) but I have to be careful not to eat too much of it as it can make me feel really sick. I can only eat smaller amnount of it than I used to.

I can however drink green tea again! Just one cup a day though because of the caffeine.

Actually now I have problems with "healthier" foods like baked potatoes, vegetables, citrus fruit etc as they give me rampaging heartburn and make me feel really sick!!!

It is the caffeine in the chocolate that makes you feel queasy, it is the same as coffee, you should go back to normal after your baby is born. I have six boys so I know what joy you are in for with your baby. so good luck.

yes that is normal with chocolate during pregnancy ....all what you have to do is get away from having large amounts of them. Just a very small piece ( NOT MUCH than a small candy)or few M&Ms and alot of fruits and freash juice..it is very useful during pregnancy...yours Dr.Leo
